This is a reskin of Keinchiro’s 485 Series upgraded by Hirochi and modified by Rizky_Adiputra. All the necessary dependencies are included in this package or are avaible on the DLS.

This livery was introduced in the late 1980s, right after the formation of JR East, as part of a general reorganization of Niigata Depot’s extensive 485 Series fleet, wich had assigned the vast majority of limited express services on the Sea of Japan coast, including services to Aomori and via the Seikan tunnel towards Hokkaido.

Named “Kaminuttari”, it consisted of a cream white background with two lines, blue and acqua blue, on the lower part of the body, and was applied indistinctively to both “bonnet-style” and “flat-front” style sets.

This livery lasted until the mid-2010s, when, due to the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen, the need for 485 Series trains shrunk, and due to the old age of the sets themselves, it was decided to replace the remaining ones with 653 Series sets transferred from the Tohoku Area, with both “original JNR” 485 Series and the heavily refurbished 485-3000 Series sets being retired by 2017.
