This is a reskin of Keimei’s JNR DD13 Diesel Locomotive avaible on the DLS. All the dependencies used in this model are the original ones.

Kashima Railway’s DD902 was a single locomotive built in 1968 by Nippon Sharyo, based on the DD13 diesel-electric shunting locomotives built at the same time for JNR.

The locomotive entered service for Kanto Railway (wich at the time still ran the Kashima Line) and was transferred to Kashima Railway when it split from Kanto Railway in 1979.

Initially painted brown, in 2005 it was repainted into a vermillion red livery, coniciding with a festival organized by the railway itself.

Freight services ceased in 2002, leaving little use for the railway’s two diesel locomotives (DD901 and DD902), wich were now employed only on work trains,

Shortly before the closure of Kashima Railway in 2007, DD902 was sold to the Nippon Steel Muroran Works Foundry, where it should be in service as an industrial locomotive, altough it’s precise whereabouts are currently unknown.
